How can you get rid of acne scars on your face? Acne is one of the skin problems that most person find very annoying, where it occurs to at least 80% teenager and also grown-ups, both men and women. A lot of acne problems leave scars when it’s not treated properly. Some treatments known as an effective way to get rid of acne scars include special acne treatment cream, better if it is combined with some clinical-based treatment, including Microdermabrasion, Dermaroller, or with the latest technique, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Treatment.
What is Microdermabrasion? The effectiveness of getting rid of acne scars using the microdermabrasion system depends largely on how deep the scars are within the skin. Light acne scars can be benefited by Microdermabraision treatment by removing the top layer of the skin to stimulate collagen, which allows new skin formation. These treatments are very successful in diminishing the look of acne scars and, usually, seven to ten visits to the dermatologist are sufficient. Deeper acne scars require more frequent visits for these treatments to achieve the desired results, and in many cases, recovery time may take longer.
Dermaroller and PRP Treatment are medical approaches that are almost similar to Microdermabrasion but different in the type of serum used. Dermaroller, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy uses a specific serum (different clinic may offer different types of serum) that is injected to skin via a kind of roller with needles on it. With the pinpoint needling created, the serum can penetrate deeper into your skin, initiating skin cell rejuvenation and increase collagen production.
Meanwhile Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment basically works the same way, with injecting serum through the skin layers. However, the serum injected is extracted from the patient’s own blood. Through a special process, it manages to extract only the blood plasma with rich of platelet in it. The blood plasma that is injected to the skin surely has high compatibility level with the patient itself, so this treatment will give a better result than Dermaroller therapy. The PRP serum can rejuvenate skin cells and increase the production of collagen. This collagen is responsible for rejuvenating skin cells, leaving skin looks smooth, supple, and young. It will disguise the look of acne scars, giving more radiant and fresh looking face.
